Description
This handmade Andean Chumpi Belt is a traditional ceremonial garment woven by Indigenous weavers of the Andes, often used by shamans and healers during initiation rites, despacho ceremonies, and energy work. The word chumpi means “belt” in Quechua, and these belts are deeply symbolic—offering protection, grounding, and energetic alignment.
Each belt is woven on a backstrap loom using ancestral techniques and naturally dyed wool, with sacred geometric patterns representing elements of Andean cosmology such as the Apus (mountain spirits), Pachamama (Mother Earth), and the three worlds: Uku Pacha (underworld), Kay Pacha (earthly realm), and Hanan Pacha (upper world).
Use it to wrap your mesa, wear during ceremony, or keep it as a spiritual tool on your altar. Each piece carries the frequency and prayer of the one who made it.
